Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Step into a dynamic respiratory care environment where your advanced skills make a real impact across a full spectrum of patient populations—from neonates to geriatrics. This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide vital respiratory therapy in a collaborative, supportive healthcare setting, covering all inpatient areas and floors. You'll work closely with hospitalists, intensivists, and a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to exceptional patient outcomes.
Schedule:
12-hour shifts (7-7) Team-based scheduling Weekend rotations: Days—every third; Nights—every other Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid driver's license (used to verify geographic eligibility) Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Active BLS and ACLS certifications (NRP & PALS preferred) Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience is required Strong proficiency with EKGs, bedside bronchs, and bedside spirometry Prior experience using ventilators (Drager, Servo I, Carefusion), Bipaps (Vision, V60, V30, Respironics S/T), and high flow equipment (Airvo2) Willingness to float throughout hospital areas in the RT role Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient care needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory care across all unit types, including critical care, ER, and inpatient floors Collaborate effectively with RT leads, providers, and nursing staff Communicate efficiently and demonstrate advanced time management and adaptability Four-unit orientation shifts provided to ensure department readiness Adhere to all patient care policies, including fingernail standards (no artificial nails allowed)
Additional Details:
