Job Description

Position Summary The Respiratory Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational aspects of respiratory services within the assigned facility. This role combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality respiratory therapy services, regulatory compliance, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Essential Job Functions Oversee respiratory care services for ventilator and cardiopulmonary patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements Support staff development, scheduling coordination, and team leadership Manage equipment and ensure operational readiness Participate in facility leadership and care planning initiatives Qualifications Current Respiratory Therapy license RRT or CRT credential (RRT preferred) BLS required, ACLS preferred 3-5+ years experience, leadership preferred Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Work within clinical healthcare environments
Additional Requirements & Conditions Physical and Emotional Demands:
Good physical and emotional health. As the Respiratory Therapist may be required to stand or sit for long periods of time, lift and move patients, and work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and home healthcare.
Exposure Risks:
Normal work routine could involve exposure to blood and body fluids. Responsible for following OSHA guideline standard and the use of universal precautions.
Working Conditions:
Hours indicated by the residents and community's needs. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. If your assignment involves caring for individuals on life-support, where having a therapist in-house is required by law, you will need to make arrangements to come to work during inclement weather. These arrangements can be in coordination with NJRA, and may involve alternative modes of transportation, such as a taxi, or showing up to work earlier or staying at work later than your scheduled shift.
