3 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) for a contract opportunity in Summit, New Jersey. The Respiratory Therapist will provide direct patient care services with a strong focus on pulmonary function testing, CPAP initiation, respiratory equipment support, and patient education. This role works closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality respiratory care. Responsibilities Perform pulmonary function testing and respiratory assessments. Initiate and manage CPAP therapy for patients. Educate patients on proper inhaler usage and respiratory treatments. Set up and provide training on durable medical equipment (DME), including: Oxygen concentrators Nebulizers CPAP devices Assist with requests and documentation for continued respiratory equipment supplies. Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to support patient care plans. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Follow facility policies, safety standards, and respiratory care best practices. Required Qualifications Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential through NBRC. Active New Jersey Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification. Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience in a hospital or physician office setting. Strong computer literacy and documentation skills. Preferred Skills Experience with pulmonary function testing. Knowledge of CPAP setup and patient education. Experience working with respiratory durable medical equipment (DME). Strong communication and patient education abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting.
Pay:
$62.00•$65.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have an active New Jersey Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license?
