2 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of hospital experience for a PM shift position at an acute care hospital in Summit, NJ. Details Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy department 12-hour PM shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week Focus on pulmonary function testing, CPAP initiation, durable medical equipment (DME) support, and inhaler training Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required on an as-needed basis No on-call required Epic EMR used for charting Requirements Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program RRT or CRT credential from the NBRC Active NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required if applicable Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 1 year of hospital or physician office experience Computer literacy required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position 2 professional references required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include providing direct patient care with emphasis on pulmonary function testing and CPAP device initiation Supports DME requests including oxygen concentrators and nebulizers, and assists with patient training on inhaler use Works closely with physicians as part of the care team Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
