New Critical Care Tower at UNM Hospital UNM Hospital is hiring Registered Respiratory Therapists at multiple levels (RRT I and RRT II) to support patient care in the newly opened Critical Care Tower. This posting covers two separate roles. Candidates will be considered for the appropriate level based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation Highlights:

Base pay: $28.29 - $40.43 per hour Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus Up to $5,000 relocation assistance for eligible candidates 12-hour day or night shifts available Shift Differentials (in addition to base pay): 17% Weekday Nights (Monday-Thursday) 26% Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday) 15% Weekend Day Shift About the

Role:

Respiratory Therapists at UNM Hospital provide advanced respiratory care in a high-acuity academic medical center environment within the new Critical Care Tower. This setting supports complex medical, surgical, trauma, and specialty populations.

Responsibilities:

Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and ventilator management Respond to rapid response and emergency situations Perform patient assessments and diagnostic procedures Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications:

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or ability to obtain) BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred Acute care experience preferred
