Responsibilities Assess patients' respiratory status through detailed evaluation of vital signs, oxygen levels, and pulmonary function tests. Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy with precision and care. Manage and educate respiratory breathing equipment to support patients with acute or chronic breathing difficulties. Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, adjusting treatment plans based on physiology knowledge and patient assessment findings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers to deliver comprehensive respiratory care. Document all interventions thoroughly in medical records using appropriate medical terminology while adhering to clinic protocols. Support and educate medication administration related to respiratory conditions and assist in the management of complex cases involving pulmonology or geriatrics patients. Experience Proven experience working in a pulmonary rehab outpatient and diagnostic care setting. Demonstrated proficiency in pulmonary rehab and diagnostics, and patient assessment techniques. Familiarity with outpatient practices across outpatient care settings, including clinic experience when applicable. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to respiratory function to inform effective treatment strategies. Prior experience is highly desirable for handling pulmonary rehab cases efficiently. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy and cardiopulmonary care disciplines.
