Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) or Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM as per facility needs)
Schedule:
12-hour shifts, 3-4 days per week
Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend (including holidays based on rotation)
Important Notes:
Candidates must reside more than 100 miles away from the facility Block scheduling or fixed schedules are not available Pediatric experience preferred Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing a wide range of respiratory therapies and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Respiratory Care & Treatment Administer respiratory therapies including: Positive pressure therapy Aerosol treatments Oxygen therapy Monitor patient response and adjust treatments as necessary Critical Care Support Assist physicians with: Initiation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation Advanced airway management Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when required Diagnostics & Procedures Conduct pulmonary function tests Perform radial arterial punctures for blood gas analysis Monitor and interpret patient respiratory status Patient Care Deliver high-quality care to patients in acute care settings Perform the majority of respiratory care functions independently Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols Required Qualifications Associate's Degree (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy Current New York State license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist Minimum 2 years of clinical acute care experience post-degree Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance Preferred Qualifications Pediatric respiratory care experience Experience in high-acuity or critical care environments Required Skills Proficiency in respiratory therapy procedures and patient monitoring Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-862-1203 .
