36 Hours Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment. Pediatric respiratory care experience is highly preferred. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, as block scheduling and fixed schedules are not available. Weekend and holiday rotations are required based on departmental needs. Key Responsibilities Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and positive pressure breathing treatments Monitor and manage patients requiring respiratory support and mechanical ventilation Assist physicians with intubation procedures and ventilator management Perform CPR and emergency respiratory interventions as needed Conduct pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas sampling via radial arterial punctures Assess patient respiratory status and recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions Maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment records Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment usage Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care Provide respiratory care to acute care patients with minimal supervision and orientation Qualifications Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Respiratory Therapy required Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license/registration required Minimum 2 years of recent acute care respiratory therapy experience required Pediatric respiratory care experience preferred Current BLS certification required Strong communication and interpersonal skills required Ability to work independently in a high-acuity clinical setting Must meet all pre-employment health clearance requirements For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
