Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for an experienced professional specializing in respiratory care. This contract role offers hands-on involvement in a collaborative healthcare setting, emphasizing advanced critical care for a diverse patient population.
Schedule/Hours:
Night shift 36 hours per week 13-week assignment
Key Qualifications:
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC Valid New York State license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist Active certifications in BLS and ACLS Demonstrated experience in critical care and NICU settings Proficient with V60 BiPAP and Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators Skilled in using EPIC electronic medical records Ability and readiness to participate in external patient transports
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, including those requiring intensive care Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment such as V60 BiPAP and Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators Monitor, assess, and document patient respiratory status using EPIC Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop tailored care plans Participate in external transports of patients, ensuring safety and continuity of care during transfers Adhere to healthcare protocols, safety standards, and best-practice guidelines in all clinical interactions
