Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract A skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care expertise is needed for a 13-week contract in Endicott, NY. This opportunity suits those experienced in respiratory therapies within NICU and adult critical care settings, utilizing advanced ventilator technologies.

Endicott, NY Nestled in the Southern Tier region of New York, Endicott offers a blend of small-town charm and urban conveniences. With accessible parks, cultural attractions, and community events, it provides a welcoming environment for healthcare professionals relocating or traveling for work.
Schedule/Hours:
Days 36 hours per week
Qualifications and Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required by the NBRC Current New York State Respiratory Therapist license BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Desired Experience:
Proficient in critical care and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) respiratory therapies Experience with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system Ability to participate in external patient transports
Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory care to critically ill adult and neonatal patients Operate and manage ventilators including noninvasive and invasive support Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement respiratory therapy plans Perform patient assessments, monitor therapy effectiveness, and adjust treatments as necessary Ensure compliance with safety standards during patient transport activities This position offers a rewarding environment to apply specialized respiratory skills with a possibility to broaden experience in external patient transport coordination. Candidates who meet the qualifications and are flexible for a 13-week contract are encouraged to apply promptly. Compensation for this position ranges from $23.44 to $40.00.
