Pay Rate:
$60 - $70/hour
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY. Responsibilities Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. Provide respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management. Respond to emergency and trauma situations requiring respiratory intervention. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and respiratory care standards. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Valid New York State Respiratory Therapist License (NYSED). Current BLS Certification (Primary Source Verification required). Minimum 2 years of experience in: Adult General Care Pediatric General Care Adult Critical Care Pediatric Critical Care Emergency/Trauma Care Neonatal Care Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment abilities. Experience with critical care and emergency respiratory procedures. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in fast-paced acute care environments. Preferred Qualifications Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPFT) Certification. ACLS Certification. PALS Certification. NRP Certification for Intensive Care Nursery.
