Qualifications & Experience:

Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC. Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Respiratory Therapist. Recent clinical experience in acute care, critical care, or hospital environments. Proficiency with diagnostic respiratory equipment, ventilator management, and therapeutic procedures. Excellent critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize patient care needs and respond effectively in urgent situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses. Operate and monitor complex respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP machines, and oxygen therapy devices. Perform arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, and related diagnostic procedures. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient care plans. Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and preventative measures. Accurately document therapy provided and patient responses in medical records. Maintain strict adherence to hospital safety and infection control protocols.
