Travel assignment; specifics to be provided during interview.Desired Qualifications:
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license. Valid BLS and ACLS certifications. Experience with ventilatory equipment (invasive/non-invasive), oxygen/aerosol devices, and nebulizer administration. Proficient in chest physiotherapy, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal), and patient education. Familiarity with 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia interpretation, NIF/VC studies, PleurX catheter, tracheostomy care, and arterial puncture. Strong skills in communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and electronic medical record documentation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver intensive respiratory care, including physician-prescribed treatments and patient transport. Educate patients on treatments and at-home care upon discharge. Operate and maintain ventilatory equipment; monitor patient response and adjust treatment protocols as necessary. Perform suctioning, chest physiotherapy, and tracheostomy procedures as per policy. Assist with bronchoscopy, chest tube, and similar interventions. Accurately record and communicate all treatment data, maintaining robust hand-off documentation. Perform routine patient evaluations, pulmonary function studies, oximetry/capnography, and laboratory-related tasks.
