Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Prior experience in acute care or hospital environments preferred Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and fast-paced situations
Key Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and protocols as ordered by physicians Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy, making recommendations for modifications as needed Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and suction devices Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analyses and interpret results for optimal care decisions Educate patients and families on respiratory health, equipment usage, and discharge planning Document all assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately in electronic medical records Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals This opportunity offers a dynamic environment where your specialized skills directly impact patient outcomes.
