Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced professional with Respiratory Therapist credentials. This contract position is ideal for those adept in both clinical practice and patient-centered respiratory therapy services.
Qualifications:
Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Current and valid state license for practice Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred Proven experience in acute care or hospital environments is highly desirable Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams and respond effectively in emergency situations
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and provide respiratory care interventions for acutely ill patients as prescribed by physicians Administer therapeutic treatments, ventilator management, and respiratory medications Monitor and evaluate patient responses and document all care activities Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to develop patient care plans Conduct diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests Educate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment use, and at-home techniques Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards Adhere to established infection control and safety procedures This is an excellent chance to make a significant impact within a fast-paced clinical environment.
