StartDate:
6/8/2026Available Shifts:
12N Pay Rate:
$2080.00 - $2143.00 This Respiratory Therapist opportunity is based in Zanesville, Ohio, a welcoming community in Southeastern Ohio known for its blend of historic charm, scenic landscapes, and easy access to larger metropolitan amenities. Zanesville offers a comfortable cost of living, tree-lined neighborhoods, and a friendly, close-knit community feel, making it an ideal place for both early-career and experienced clinicians to settle or work as travelers. Zanesville is conveniently located along I-70, providing quick access to Columbus and other regional hubs while still offering the benefits of a smaller city. The area features unique attractions such as the famous Y-Bridge, historic downtown architecture, and nearby museums and galleries that showcase the region's art and history. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, and camping at nearby state parks, lakes, and nature preserves, while families appreciate local parks, community events, and youth sports activities that contribute to a vibrant local lifestyle. You will be working in a modern acute care hospital environment that supports a broad spectrum of respiratory care services. The facility features up-to-date cardiopulmonary equipment, comprehensive acute and critical care units, and a collaborative, patient-focused culture. Respiratory therapists are integrated into multidisciplinary teams and play a key role in caring for patients across the hospital, including medical-surgical units, intensive care, emergency department, and specialty areas such as cardiology and pulmonary services. In this role, you can expect a mix of responsibilities that may include conducting respiratory assessments, administering aerosol and oxygen therapies, managing invasive and non-invasive ventilators, drawing and analyzing arterial blood gases, and responding to rapid response and code situations. Depending on the unit and patient population, therapists may also assist with weaning protocols, pulmonary hygiene, equipment troubleshooting, and patient and family education. Shifts are typically 12 hours, with day, night, or rotating options depending on department needs, allowing for predictable scheduling and continuity of care. Respiratory therapists in this setting often manage a varied caseload, which may include acutely ill adults, patients with chronic lung diseases such as COPD and asthma, postoperative patients, and, depending on assignment, neonatal or pediatric populations. Patient assignments are designed to support safe and effective care, with an emphasis on teamwork, collaboration with nursing and physicians, and accessible leadership support. This environment offers an excellent opportunity to build strong clinical skills and expand competencies in critical care, emergency response, and specialized respiratory procedures. The facility promotes professional growth through ongoing training, education, and opportunities to cross-train in multiple units. Respiratory therapists may have the chance to participate in quality improvement initiatives, respiratory care protocols, and interdisciplinary committees that shape clinical practice. This role is ideal for clinicians who value a supportive team environment, appreciate the chance to practice at the top of their license, and want to gain or expand experience in a busy acute care setting while enjoying the quality of life that Zanesville and the surrounding area offer.Required Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist, Adult Experience:
