1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU or PICU experience for a night shift pediatric position at a children's hospital in Oregon. Details Work in a NICU at a children's hospital, with support also provided in the PICU, emergency department, and pediatric and adult acute/intermediate care wards Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30 No on-call requirements Epic EMR experience preferred Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction applies Requirements Active RRT credential required Current BLS certification required Active Oregon (OR) respiratory therapy license required if applicable Minimum 1.5 years of NICU or PICU experience required COVID vaccination required — no exemptions Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required for consideration; charge RN references are not acceptable Epic EMR experience preferred Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Provides therapeutic interventions including airway management, therapeutic gas administration, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, and CPR Performs diagnostic procedures including arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, spontaneous ventilatory parameter assessment, and point-of-care testing Trains new respiratory therapists, students, and other healthcare team members as needed May be required to float to a nearby affiliate hospital; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation Candidates who are former employees of or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference from the supervising manager at that facility Candidates who previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and may not exceed 2 weeks total
