Qualifications:
Valid RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Current state Respiratory Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) BLS and ACLS certifications required Prior experience in acute care or hospital settings strongly preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and provide respiratory care for patients with a variety of cardiopulmonary conditions Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation Conduct diagnostic procedures such as EKGs and arterial blood gas analysis Monitor and document patient progress, collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff Educate patients and families on respiratory health and home care protocols Ensure adherence to all safety and quality guidelines
