Desired Qualifications:
Valid and current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Active state Respiratory Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain) Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience preferred Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and carry out respiratory care interventions for patients of varying acuity Operate and manage ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory equipment Conduct patient assessments, monitor responses, and document care plans Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment use Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to optimize patient outcomes Maintain compliance with all department policies and infection control protocols
