Back to Careers Patient Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (Afternoon shift) Full-time Sharon, PA Apply We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team on the afternoon shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in respiratory care, with experience in various settings including PICU, inpatient, and outpatient environments. This role is critical for providing high-quality respiratory therapy to patients with diverse needs, ensuring their comfort and recovery. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory therapy needs. Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians. Monitor vital signs and adjust treatment plans based on patient responses. Provide care in critical care settings, including emergency medicine scenarios. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans. Educate patients and families on respiratory health management and equipment use. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments administered. Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department. Experience A degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program is required. Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred. Experience in PICU, pulmonology, critical care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable. Proficiency in performing patient assessments and administering respiratory medications. Familiarity with operating room protocols and procedures is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
