Respiratory Therapist

Tavares Pediatric Center is a long-term care residential facility for children and young adults with complex medical needs. We are a 30-bed facility. Tavares Pediatric Center is a rewarding, inclusive, collaborative facility. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to our residents. The Respiratory Therapist will work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and the ability to manage airways effectively. Responsibilities Assess patients' respiratory conditions through physical examinations and diagnostic tests. Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy and ventilator management. Perform airway management procedures for patients in need of assistance. Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor patients' responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Participate in the training of new staff members and assist in ongoing education for current staff. We are looking for 12hr day shift (7a-7p) full time (36 hours per week) or part time (24 hours per week). Includes weekend and holiday rotations Differential pay: $4/hour for Sat and Sun Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and critical care practices. Ability to operate ventilators and other respiratory equipment proficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
