Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for experienced Respiratory Therapists and Registered Respiratory Therapists to provide patient care in a collaborative, dynamic environment. This contract position is based in a healthcare setting and offers a supportive team focused on delivering exceptional respiratory care.
Schedule and Details:
36 hours per week, night shift Weekend and holiday shifts required No block scheduling No on-call requirements Contract duration: approximately 4-5 weeks Parking is complimentary for night shift staff in the main lot (no shuttles needed); day shift parking at Coro garage requires shuttle use Scrubs of any color accepted
Required Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Valid Rhode Island (RI) respiratory therapy license Strong knowledge of current respiratory therapy practices and treatment modalities Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary care team Effective communication and documentation skills Flexibility to work scheduled weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver prescribed respiratory care treatments and therapies, including aerosol medication administration, airway management, and ventilator support Monitor, evaluate, and record patient responses and progress Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans, equipment use, and health maintenance Ensure accurate charting and compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols Maintain cleanliness and functionality of respiratory equipment and supplies Experience rewarding patient interactions, professional growth, and a supportive work atmosphere.
