If you're passionate about pulmonary care and love working with seniors, we'd love to meet you! π π General Purpose The primary purpose of your job position is to perform respiratory/pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct care to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities affecting the pulmonary system. π©Ί Essential Duties- Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures of the facility.
- Perform focused interviews to identify specific patient needs.
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from health care team members and document actual and/or potential diagnoses.
- Plan outcomes of care for assigned patients.
- Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and patient care outcome standards.
- Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
- Promote and participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communication.
- Report changes in patient respiratory status to the Director/Supervisor of Respiratory Care Services, primary nurse, and physician as needed and prior to leaving the facility.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with inter-department personnel.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of resident protected health information (PHI) and report any suspected violations.
- Assume accountability and responsibility for assigned duties.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
β Associate Degree from an accredited school required β Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program β Bachelor of Science in a healthcare field preferred β Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in acute and/or subacute setting preferredCertificates & Licenses:
β Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state of practice β Current CPR/BLS certification β ACLS certification required β Knowledge of office machines and equipment π§Skills & Abilities Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions πͺ Physical Demands
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Prolonged use of desktop or laptop computer
- Regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, reading, and hearing
- Frequent use of copier/scanner/fax, telephone, calculator

- Reports changes in the patient's respiratory status to the Director/Supervisor of Respiratory Care Services, the nurse primarily responsible for the patient, and the physician, as needed, and prior to leaving the facility
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
- Agree not to disclose resident's protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
- Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of performing the assigned duties of this position.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
