Schedule/Hours Travel position with flexible scheduling Qualifications Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license Ability to practice independently within professional scope BLS and ACLS certification required Previous experience with ventilatory equipment and respiratory therapies, including non-invasive and invasive techniques Skilled in patient transport, education, and discharge instructions Proficient in chest physiotherapy, pulmonary function studies, and oximetry/capnography monitoring Key Responsibilities Deliver intensive respiratory care and patient transport according to physician direction Explain treatment processes, provide patient education, and manage discharge planning Administer prescribed medications and operate ventilatory, oxygenation, and aerosol equipment Conduct suctioning, tracheostomy care, chest tube placement assistance, and bronchoscopies Perform arterial punctures, EKGs, arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function tests Document all treatments and patient responses with accuracy Participate in interdisciplinary communication and efficient hand-off reporting Maintain equipment, manage therapy charging, and support preventive maintenance Why Choose This Assignment?
