Qualifications:
Active RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) required Valid state license to practice as an RRT (or eligibility to obtain) Current BLS and ACLS certifications At least one year of recent clinical experience in an acute care environment Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders Administer respiratory care procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop effective care plans Record and report on patient outcomes, treatment responses, and progress Educate patients and families about respiratory therapies and equipment usage Maintain a safe, sanitary, and supportive care environment
