Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Step into a vital role supporting adult critical care patients as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a large, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with diverse, high-acuity patient populations, including cardiovascular, thoracic, transplant, and medical-surgical ICU settings. The facility is renowned for its advanced care and commitment to clinical excellence.
Schedule:
Night shifts: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30) Every other weekend required Holidays required Block scheduling may be accommodated with prior approval Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience
NBRC RRT
certification required (CRT considered with strong critical care background) BLS and ACLS certifications required Current South Carolina RCP license must be in hand before starting Prior experience in adult critical care (RRT) essential First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment All requested time off must be submitted at application
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to a complex adult population, including interventions such as ECMO, IABP, Impella, and management of ARDS, septic shock, and advanced cardiac care needs Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams in ICU, step-down, and acute care environments Utilize Epic for charting and maintain compliance with standard facility procedures Float, if required, only within similar adult care units
