• Perform respiratory therapy assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients
• Administer respiratory treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Provide airway management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in medical records ```Requirements```
• Valid respiratory therapist license or certification
• Proficient in airway management techniques
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the respiratory system
• Experience working in critical care areas such as the ICU or acute care is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• Excellent problem-solving skills to assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Familiarity with ventilators and other respiratory equipment
