Travel assignment—flexible scheduling availableKey Qualifications:
Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Active state licensure in Respiratory Therapy or eligibility to obtain BLS and ACLS certifications required Demonstrated experience with both invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment Competency in administering respiratory care therapies and patient education Proficient in performing diagnostic procedures including EKG, pulmonary function studies, and capnography Experience in intensive/critical illness environments strongly desiredCore Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients requiring intensive therapies, including patient transport when needed Assess, develop, and implement individualized patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians Operate, monitor, and maintain ventilators and respiratory support devices; initiate and discontinue ventilatory support as ordered Perform airway management—tracheostomy care, suctioning, and endotracheal tube insertion/removal Conduct procedures such as chest physiotherapy, bronchoscopy assistance, chest tube management, and arterial punctures per policy Educate patients and families regarding therapies, equipment, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and participate actively in shift handoffs Adhere to laboratory testing procedures, infection control, and quality assurance protocolsCompelling Benefits Include:
