As a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a critical illness and rehabilitation setting, you'll be exposed to a variety of patients and clinical challenges. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver intensive respiratory care and supervise patient transport to and from the facility. Develop, evaluate, and recommend customized respiratory treatment plans. Educate patients and families on therapies, equipment use, and post-discharge care. Administer physician-prescribed treatments, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medication. Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and review chest x-rays. Conduct and interpret 12-lead EKGs and basic arrhythmias. Assist in pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopic procedures. Oversee tracheostomy and endotracheal tube management, including emergent interventions. Carry out arterial punctures and analyze respiratory lab results. Maintain comprehensive patient records and ensure accurate charge entry. Communicate vital treatment updates during shift changes and work closely with physicians.Preferred Qualifications:
Active RRT license in Tennessee. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. At least one year of critical care or acute hospital experience. Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and commitment to patient-centered care.Travel Professionals Enjoy:
