Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)

Certified Respiratory or Registered Respiratory Therapist! Full Time Day Shift (7a-7p) Provides respiratory therapy and outpatient tests to patients as ordered by physicians, according to established standards and practices.

Position Responsibilities:

Performs all required duties associated with oxygen therapy, aerosol and high humidity therapy, IPPB therapy, chest physiotherapy, emergency CPR, continuous long-term ventilation, pulmonary function testing and arterial puncture and ABG analysis. Performs prescribed respiratory therapy directed toward normalizing patient with abnormalities or deficiencies of the pulmonary system. Performs EKGs and quality control in the performance of these tests. Documents all intervention on patient care records. Serves as a resource person for physicians and hospital employees relative to effective and safe methods of administering respiratory therapy. In collaboration with Nuclear Medicine and Nursing personnel, performs stress testing procedures. Special emphasis is placed on skills used in critical care and emergency situations.
