1 Job Description Ascension Dell Children's Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a long-term assignment within a high-acuity pediatric healthcare setting. The RRT will provide advanced respiratory care services to neonatal and pediatric ICU patients requiring critical and life-support interventions. This role requires strong clinical expertise in pediatric and neonatal respiratory care, the ability to work in a fast-paced ICU environment, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive respiratory care to NICU and PICU patients Perform ventilator management, airway care, and oxygen therapy Conduct patient assessments and respond to changes in respiratory status Assist with intubation, extubation, and emergency airway management Administer respiratory medications and treatments as prescribed Monitor and document patient progress accurately in clinical systems Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary ICU teams Ensure adherence to safety protocols and hospital respiratory care standards Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment Respond promptly to pediatric and neonatal respiratory emergencies Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric ICU (PICU) or Neonatal ICU (NICU) experience required Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required Strong critical care respiratory experience in high-acuity settings Ability to work night shifts consistently (18:30-07:00) Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU environment Why Join This Assignment?
