Student Clinical - Respiratory Therapy

Summary:

Under direct supervision, assist in the evaluation of patient status and provides basic bedside respiratory care (determined prior to hire in the organization - subject to change as skill levels increase).

Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision, assist in the evaluation of patient status and provides basic bedside respiratory care (determined prior to hire in the organization - subject to change as skill levels increase). Displays abilities to perform specific procedures associated with respiratory therapy to the patient following a prescribed treatment plan by the physician and company policies and procedures. Performs patient/family education and maintains all necessary related documentation. Must have basic understanding of respiratory disease procedures. Demonstrated interest in professional growth and development; ability to scheduling/placement designations determined prior to hire in organization. Must have good customer relations skills and basic computer skills.

Requirements:

Education/Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Current student enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. Experience Previous hospital experience preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
