1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience, including 1 year in pediatrics/PICU, for a 13-week night shift contract at a community hospital in Covington, WA. Details Respiratory Therapy department at a 58-bed hospital Treats patients of all ages presenting with respiratory distress, airway issues, and ventilator dependency 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM 36 hours per week Every other weekend rotation required No on-call requirement May float to a nearby affiliated medical center Epic EMR experience required Requirements Minimum 2 years of total Respiratory Therapy experience, with at least 1 year in pediatrics or PICU/neonatal care Active RRT credential required Current WA state RT license required if applicable Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS Proficiency in airway assessment and management, blood gas draw and analysis, intubation, extubation, ventilator management, and emergency response (rapid response and code blue) Epic EMR experience required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Two professional references required (supervisor level or above); one reference accepted at time of consideration with a second required prior to start Additional Information Solo RT on shift, collaborating with the STAT RN and house supervisor to triage and coordinate patient care as needed Responsible for equipment setup, disassembly, and ongoing ventilator management Any color and style of scrubs are acceptable
