Respiratory Therapist

Schedule:

The respiratory therapist's service will be on an as-needed basis. Duties Ensure timely documentation into the patient's Electronic Medical Records, according to the policies and procedures and common practice of the facility, which will be discussed during the hospital/facility orientation. Provide cardiopulmonary services and administer respiratory care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Perform diagnostic tests of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders. Administer treatments as ordered by the treating Physician(s). Maintain performance improvement activities within the department and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. Qualifications Respiratory Therapists must be licensed by the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care. Respiratory Therapists must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care setting. Respiratory Therapists must hold an associate degree in Respiratory Therapy. Respiratory Therapists must hold a current certification for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR). Respiratory Therapists must hold a current certification for Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS). Respiratory Therapists must hold a current certification for Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Pay:
