Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an engaging contract opportunity as a district speech-language pathologist supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites. This rewarding full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with teachers, families, and fellow professionals. As a travel SLP, you'll work with a diverse caseload—from kindergarteners discovering early language skills to high schoolers refining communication strategies.
Key Experience & Credentials:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state licensure or the ability to obtain it prior to start date Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status accepted Previous experience within school settings strongly preferred Familiarity with pediatric caseloads and the IEP process Proficiency in both assessment and intervention strategies for speech, language, and communication disorders Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites within the districtPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students ranging from kindergarten through grade 12 Conduct diagnostic evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and document student progress Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to foster academic and social growth Provide direct intervention as well as consultation and training for school personnel Maintain timely and accurate records in accordance with district and state requirements Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners across multiple sites Embrace the chance to work on a dynamic team as a valued district resource, supporting the communication growth of students at every stage.
