Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract To Hire Step into a dynamic role supporting student growth and communication as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a full-time, contract-to-hire position for the upcoming school year. This opportunity spans from July 31, 2026, through May 27, 2027, providing the chance to make a lasting impact for students in a supportive school environment. You'll work with a cohort of approximately 50 students, utilizing your expertise to foster positive outcomes in communication and language development.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) State licensure (or eligibility) for SLP in Alabama School-based experience or familiarity with working in K-12 educational settings Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Evaluate students with speech, language, and communication challenges Develop and implement tailored therapy sessions to support student progress Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other educational professionals to maximize student success Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and compliance paperwork Advocate for student needs and contribute to IEP meetings Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skillset Support a caseload of around 50 students, ensuring thorough attention to each individual's goals Perks of the
