Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Hanceville, AL, supporting a high-need learning center caseload. This contract role runs from ASAP through May 23rd, 2026, focusing on delivering specialized speech therapy services within a school setting. The caseload includes 49 students, primarily in 5th grade or below, with some high school students also served.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to students' needs in a learning center environment Manage a diverse caseload, including high-need students requiring targeted interventions Collaborate closely with educational staff, parents, and administrators to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and progress tracking in compliance with school policies Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as requiredQualifications and Experience:
Valid Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Experience working in school-based speech pathology settings essential Strong ability to engage and support students across a range of ages and communication challenges Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teamsSchedule and Location:
Part-time, 4 days per weekHours:
7:30 AM to 2:00 PM Onsite work based in Hanceville, AL, with potential flexibility for hybrid or VOCO arrangements based on needs This role provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills within a supportive school environment.
