Speech Language Pathologist

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs
• Provide therapy sessions to improve speech and language skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and comprehension
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
• Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to track progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques to enhance functional communication
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries Experience
• Minimum of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Experience working with diverse populations and age groups, including pediatrics and adults
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology
• Familiarity with case management principles and practices
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
• Strong writing skills for necessary completion of documentation
• Time management skills for managing your caseload, rescheduling appointments, and navigating changes in patients' needs for scheduling

Skills:

• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing function
• Experience working with pediatrics and/or adults
• Ability to provide evidence-based therapy interventions for a wide range of speech-language disorders
• Strong problem-solving skills to develop creative treatment strategies for complex cases
