Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Are you passionate about supporting students' communication and language development in a dynamic school environment? An engaging, full-time contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to work with elementary and middle school students from August 2026 through May 2027. This onsite position offers meaningful involvement with a diverse caseload, allowing you to make a genuine positive impact during the school year.
Key Qualifications:
Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license recognized by ASHA for Alabama Active AL professional educator license (can be verified on the state portal) Open to both Clinical Fellows (CFs) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) holders Experience or strong interest in serving school-aged children Willingness to supervise CFs if CCC Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Flexibility to work in one or occasionally two school locations
Role Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, primarily at the elementary and middle school level Provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services for students with speech and language needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and district standards Work as part of a multidisciplinary educational team to promote student progress Offer supervision to CFs if credentialed with CCC Maintain accurate records and comply with required documentation practices This contract position allows you to immerse yourself in the vibrant school community, contributing your expertise in a highly supportive setting.
