Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract position, you'll provide essential services in a welcoming educational environment near Opelika, AL. Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Current license or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Alabama Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive classrooms
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Provide direct, evidence-based therapy to assigned caseload Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and communications in compliance with school and state regulations Participate in IEP meetings and offer professional recommendations Contribute to a positive, team-focused educational culture
