Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact within the school setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist! This contract opportunity is available for a talented SLP who wants to support student growth and communication skills for the 2026/2027 school year. Work closely with educators and families to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment, helping students reach their full academic and social potential.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLP in Alabama Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation Superb communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to K-12 students with speech, language, and communication difficulties Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with federal, state, and school guidelines Participate in student evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress assessments Collaborate with teachers, counselors, parents, and other support staff to address student needs Provide guidance and resources to educators regarding communication strategies in the classroom Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the school and regulatory guidelines Experience a rewarding school-based role where your expertise is valued and your contribution directly helps students thrive academically and socially.
