Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a dynamic contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist. This engaging position is for those passionate about nurturing communication and language skills in young learners while collaborating with a diverse school team. Both on-site and virtual (VOCO) SLPs are encouraged to apply for this role covering three school sites within a vibrant district near Theodore, AL. As an SLP working with students in grades K-5, you'll have the chance to make a lasting impact, helping children unlock their potential through speech and language interventions tailored to each student's unique needs. The upcoming school year brings an exciting start date in August and runs through May, with a consistent 35-hour workweek providing meaningful structure and the opportunity to develop strong relationships with staff and families.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
A valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Active registration with the Board of Speech Examiners Experience in a school setting or with pediatric caseloads (K-5) Ability to provide required licensure documents Comfortable with both on-site and virtual service delivery (VOCO) Commitment to meeting credentialing and compliance timelines
Role Responsibilities:
Assess student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate records of interventions and student outcomes Travel between assigned schools as needed (if providing on-site services) This contract offers the fulfillment of supporting students' communication growth within a positive, team-oriented environment.
