Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity working as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, making a difference in the lives of K-12 students. This full-time, contract position allows you to engage with a diverse student population throughout the district, providing vital support across multiple school settings. You'll have the chance to help students achieve their communication goals while building meaningful relationships in an educational atmosphere.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Alabama Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants considered Experience with pediatric populations and school settings admired Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to commute and travel between schools within the district
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver direct speech and language services to a K-12 caseload Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student success Travel to multiple campuses within the district, maintaining flexibility in daily assignments Document student progress and provide regular feedback to all stakeholders Provide consultative support to educators to help maximize student outcomes Experience the fulfillment of helping students overcome speech and language barriers—every day brings an opportunity to create real, positive change.
