Job Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Must be licensed in the State of Arkansas to practice Speech Therapy. CPR certified. Experience Sound clinical skills and demonstrated good judgment. Working knowledge of physical, mental and social needs of the frail elderly population. Ability to problem-solve and plan effectively. Effective oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Physical This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information. Requires physical strength to perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to work required schedule. Hearing within normal range. Frequent sitting, stooping, standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling up to 250 pounds, and carrying up to 35 pounds, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
JOB SUMMARY
The Speech Therapist assesses and treats persons with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. They may select alternative communication systems and teach their use. The Speech Therapist may also perform research related to speech and language problems
