Overview:

The Springs of Texarkana is seeking a dedicated and skilled PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team. In this role, you will provide essential speech therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing facility, helping to enhance their quality of life through improved communication and swallowing function.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Provide direct speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders and facility policies Document all evaluations, treatments, and resident progress accurately and in a timely manner Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies Participate in care planning and team meetings as needed

Requirements:

Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Texas Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred Strong knowledge of evaluation and treatment techniques for communication and swallowing disorders Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills Familiarity with documentation systems (NetHealth experience a plus)

Availability:

PRN schedule with weekday and weekend availability preferred
