Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding journey in a supportive educational setting, providing essential speech and language services to elementary students. This contract opportunity, spanning from now through May 22, 2025, places you at a single K-5th grade school with a manageable average caseload of 55 students. You'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' lives, working closely with a collaborative and experienced team.
Preferred Background:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Previous school-based experience is highly valued Valid Arizona SLP License and Arizona Department of Health SLP License Must secure and maintain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to K-5 students Complete screenings, assessments, and diagnose speech, voice, and language disorders Interpret assessment results to recommend targeted interventions Validate external evaluations and recommendations for students Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) Provide tailored therapy programs and progress monitoring for students Support and guide educators in identifying and referring students with speech and language needs Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on therapy integration and student support Maintain detailed and compliant student records Contribute to the school community through flexible, team-oriented support
