Job Description, Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Evaluate & Diagnose:
Assess speech, language, social, and cognitive communication disorders.Direct Treatment:
Provide specialized therapy for communication disorders across all grade levels (Preschool-Age 22).Specialized Care:
Deliver aural rehabilitation and implement AAC systems for students with severe expressive or neurological disorders.Goal Setting:
Establish verifiable, data-driven goals based on annual assessments.Multidisciplinary Teamwork:
Partner with District and SELPA professionals to provide comprehensive student support.Classroom Integration:
Consult with educators to integrate speech and language remediation into the regular classroom setting.Training:
Provide education and guidance to families, caregivers, and fellow professionals.IEP Management:
Schedule and lead IEP meetings and maintain strict confidentiality of student records.Documentation:
Manage monthly caseload reports, MIS data input, and required reporting for Special Education Directors.
Leadership:
Train and supervise support personnel and participate in staff in-service meetings.Requirements / Qualifications

Fingerprinting and Background Check:
- All new employees must be fingerprinted for the Arcadia Unified School District. If you have previously been fingerprinted for employment with Arcadia Unified, this step may not be required.
