Length of Work Year 6/15/26 - 7/13/26 Employment Type Temporary Job Summary Job Summary Burlingame School District is seeking qualified, internal certificated staff members to serve as Extended School Year (ESY) Speech and Language Pathologists. This temporary summer assignment runs from June 15, 2026, through July 13, 2026, providing vital continuity of service for our students with unique learning and communication needs. Under the direction of the Director of Student Support Services, you will provide critical assessment and targeted instruction to preschool through eighth-grade students identified as having special education needs. In this role, you will focus on reinforcing established goals in speech production, articulation, fluency, voice, and receptive/expressive language to prevent summer regression.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Instruction & Intervention:
Design and implement IEP-directed speech services using a variety of methodologies including individual, group, push-in, and collaborative team structures.
Targeted Support:
Direct social pragmatic student groups and differentiate instruction to accommodate the diverse academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of our summer school student population.
Compliance & Records:
Ensure state compliance for all students on your summer caseload. Maintain rigorous records, including service logs, attendance accounting, and pupil progress reports.
Collaboration:
Provide consultative and informational support to families, educational staff, and the multi-disciplinary team regarding the ongoing management of student communication needs Requirements / Qualifications Speech Language Pathology Services Credential or be licensed by the state of California to provide Speech Services, with Masters and completion of CBEST. California Licensure required. Bilingual HIGHLY desirable. AT/AAC Certification HIGHLY desirable.

Requirements / Qualifications
Speech Language Pathology Services Credential or be licensed by the state of California to provide Speech Services, with Masters and completion of CBEST. California Licensure required. Bilingual HIGHLY desirable. AT/AAC Certification HIGHLY desirable.
