Length of Work Year 190 Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary USA is an independent, non-classroom based Charter School in Del Norte County California that is nearing its 20th year of operation, and that serves over 300 Tk-9th grade students. USA offers two programs for students- the Offshore homeschool program, and the Onshore program that offers students a more robust on-site experience, where students receive synchronous instruction for up to 80% of their school day with classrooms of their peers, while still allowing for the flexibility of an independent student school. USA has recently been admitted into the El Dorado County Office of Education's Charter SELPA, and is working to create its own Special Education Program for the 2026/27 School Year. The school is hiring several new Special Education professionals to assist in developing, implementing and supporting this program. This position is eligible for CalSTRS retirement and private health insurance coverage. The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) provides speech/language services to meet the individual needs of students with oral communication and speech/language impairments. The SLP is responsible for screening and assessment; goal development; and planning/implementing appropriate speech and language services to maximize student success in speech/language. This position is part time.
