Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students from preschool through 8th grade in an engaging educational environment. This position supports the communication needs of a diverse student caseload, beginning the week of August 17, 2026, and extending through the end of May 2027. You'll work three days each week, providing 6.5 hours of service per day. Your primary location will serve students with a variety of speech and language challenges, ensuring that each child receives the targeted support they need to thrive in their academic journeys. This role includes responsibilities as the case manager for a select group of six speech-only students, while providing direct services to a total caseload of roughly 29 students.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid SLP-CCC credential required Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with PK-8th grade students Strong organizational and communication skills Skilled in assessment, therapy, progress monitoring, and IEP documentation Ability to adapt services to meet individual student needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy to assigned students Serve as case manager for a group of six speech-only students, facilitating meetings and ensuring compliance with their IEPs Complete comprehensive evaluations and maintain accurate documentation Collaborate with general/special education teachers, staff, and families Participate in IEP meetings, providing clear progress reports and recommendations Support the development of communication strategies to enhance student success in the classroom This contract position fits those seeking a flexible schedule during the academic year, with the chance to make meaningful contributions to student development.
